Quite simply, SACR is a rig developed by Sakura for use in Blender in the creation of Minecraft Character based renders with a huge emphasis on a comprehensive feature package that is light on the system and easy to use.

Revision 7 contains many improvements and changes over it's predecessor, Revision 6. These changes include but are not limited to improved shape Keys, optimized mesh and drivers, return of full rig bone shapes, and a compltetely redone face rig mesh. All changes in R7 aims to bring SACR back to it's roots as an Advanced yet Lightweight Rig that can be used by anyone and everyone, no matter what PC Specs you have.
SACR R7.2 released with a lot of issues and bugs, 7.2.1 is a hotfix update meant to remedy those issues and add crucial identifiers for use with the new Control Addon
Alongside the development of SACR R7.2.1, a new control script has been developed in addon form, this control script will be continuously updated as new versions of SACR Come out, with plans for Revision 8 to rely almost exclusively on an addon for all controls, though I will do my best to ensure all old versions of the script are still available for use within Blender while each is compatible. The current UI version only supports R7.2.1 at this time,
The SACR Github Repository is a great place to find old Stable and Experimental Builds of SACR, and has undergone a complete overhaul at the end of Aug 2024 to have each major version separated by branch rather than having Stable and Experimental in two different repositories, and having each major version in separate folders within each repo.
Github RepositorySACR is licensed under the MIT License, as such, users are allowed to download, modify, and redistribute SACR as one's own, however the Rig Creator, Sakura, requests that should one use or modify the SACR rig that credit be given to him. SACR is a free, open source and public rig for use by anyone in their projects, and will forever remain free.
